I’ve always had a coconut macaron obsession mostly when my sweet tooth gets in the way. These Parisian delightful goodness are almost perfect for any occasion. They are not the easiest to make and can be a bit overwhelming especially if you’re a mom on-the-go. They are also not the most cost-effective so its best to invest that 2-3 hours time slot in your schedule and create these quintessential macarons. If you’ve noticed, they’ve also become a huge trend in the blogger and Instagram world. Just take a peek at the hashtag and you’ll see what i mean.
Check out one of my favorite recipes here.
What are your favorite macarons? Share in the comments. Hope you had a wonderful Easter 🙂

Even though I lost an hour of sleep due to Daylight Savings Time, I had a quite enjoyable and fulfilled Sunday. I mean Saturday is my favorite day of the week but Sundays are my peaceful, overdosing on latte, binge reading my favorite coffee books and Vogue magazines, homemade hot chocolate stay in bed and cuddle all day after church kinda day. What are some of your favorite coffee books? How do you spend your Sundays?

So I wanted to share with you all some amazingly incredible benefits of coconut oil. First thing is first. The most important part of this to me, is that coconut oil has plethora of benefits. It is the real all-purpose deal. I grew up learning about and using coconut oil so it was already instilled in me as a vital product from the start. I watched my mom cook with it (today I do the same thing, it’s very good in jasmine rice, too ) as well as utilize it in my hair and on her skin.
Throughout the many years of using coconut oil, I’ve discovered that it also facilitates with digestion and can reduce the risk of heart disease and other infections and diseases. That’s more than amazing to say the least. I mean think about it. It’s a no-brainer that using coconut oil can possibly save lives. I use it to cook, moisturize my skin, massage my scalp; deep condition my hair and before I forget, it is extremely useful when trying to lose weight. It builds muscle and decreases body fat. Yes, the more you include it in your day-to-day meal, the better it aides in digesting and reducing abdominal obesity. I highly recommend it to anyone and especially to those of you struggling with health issues and weight-loss complications.
When you use it as a deep conditioner, it strengthens your hair and prevent damage as well as keep it nice and shiny. It will definitely grow your hair. Massage into your skin to prevent dryness while leaving it feeling smooth and balanced. Especially if you hate wrinkles or trying to prevent them, this will serve as an excellent moisturizer and keep you looking younger than ever. No need to go out there and purchase those expensive anti-aging creams.
The cooking benefits are simple: you’ll live longer. Using coconut oil promotes longevity and immunity against loads of diseases. If you cook with coconut oil, it will maintain all the nutrients even when heated at high temperatures. You can use coconut oil for your coffee and tea. Sounds crazy right? You can add it to make an organic tea creamer and sugar free coffee. I even use it when I juice because it serves as a superfood. Did I mention I love my fried plantains in coconut oil? It’s the best and they taste delicious. If you never tried cooking plantains in coconut oil please do and tell me how they turn out.
Here are some other bonuses that I’ll share with you guys. In addition to the multiple benefits mentioned, I also use coconut oil to remove my make-up. Girls, you must try this. Let me know how it helped if you did. I’d love to hear from you. It’s so good at removing eye makeup and foundation. Furthermore, I use it as a cuticle treatment and replace it with shaving cream to shave my legs.. It leaves them feeling smooth as ever. That’s all for today. Hope you enjoyed. Until next time.. XO
