Hi loves;

Happy Tuesday!

Sharing a few of my favorite beauty must-haves and tips with you guys today. I love wearing my Vegas Nay lashes. They feel so luxurious and make your eyes pop leaving you with a glamorous finish. Very easy to remove. I love using coconut oil to remove my make up in general. See my previous beauty blog post about coconut oil benefits. The double ups, I wear those to add definition and drama to my everyday look. These are all very affordable and can be found in many drugstores as well as Target, Ulta beauty, Sally Beauty and more. My lip of the day is from L’Oreal’s exclusive collection “Blake.” You guys know how much I love red lips. This color is so beautiful and effortless. One of my newest addition and absolute fav.

TIP TUESDAY:

1.Did you know that eating watermelon can help reduce acne breakouts and keep your skin healthier? My grandmother taught me this when I was 7 yrs old. I’ve been a sucker for watermelon since I was a child. 🙂

2. If you place your fingers in ice water immediately after painting your nails, the paint will dry instantly. #tryit 🙂

3. Recipe for relaxation: exhale completely, inhale for four seconds, hold your breath for seven seconds and exhale for eight seconds. Perfect to try before bed or whenever you’re feeling stressed out. XO

Moisture Monday

DSC_0432

Hey Guys;

I wanted to share with you one of my favorite products I use when deep conditioning my hair. First off, I love Shea Moisture products in general. This conditioner is one of my top favorites. It conditions my hair so good and leaves it soft, nourished and stronger than ever. If you’ve never tried their products I highly recommend it. The ingredients are natural, your hair will get stronger and longer and it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Especially if you’ve struggled with damaged hair, this product is very fitting. It will help you restore your damaged hair. I also use the shampoo and leave-in conditioner (same brand). You can shop the conditioner here. You can also shop their products in stores or your local Target. 🙂

Beauty Tip * Wear your hair up in a high bun or ponytail while you sleep, to minimize oils from your hair seeping onto your face. This also prevents pimples from occurring.

DSC_0026 DSC_0033A DSC_0020A DSC_0018A DSC_0014A

Hey beauties;

Sharing 5 of my absolute favorite beauty products that cost around $20 total, so you can look good without having to break the bank. I love Ardell lashes simply because they’re very affordable and the quality is pretty good, not to mention the removable process is so easy. The Double up and Wispies are my absolute favorite because they’re not too dramatic but thick enough to give a more natural full finish. I prefer the dark adhesive compare to white. It blends in so much better without the extra mess. You guys already know that I love a red lip. Pretty much my signature lips-especially matte red. I have so may red lips its unbelievable. I own every single Nyx cosmetics matte lips out there lol. One of my favorite “Alabama” is also pictured. It’s dark and sexy. The other one is Nyx liquid suede lipstick in “kitten heels”. Red, hot and spicy! I’ll share some makeup haul soon.

You won’t believe how amazingly affordable they are. shop this set here. I’m  sure you’ll also run into some other great finds. 🙂 Have a fab day dolls.

Today’s Beauty Tip: Rub a light layer of honey over your face. Let it sit for 30 minutes. Rinse well with hot water. It kills acne. XO

Midweek Exfoliant

dermTNT1 dermTMT DSC_0067FMT1

Hi Beauties;

Ok, so as you all know, I love Dermalogica products. I wanted to share with you my exfoliating routine. Around this time of the year my skin can get a bit more dryer than normal. I tend to exfoliate about 2 times a week as oppose to once which would be my normal routine. The reason is because my skin is a lot more vulnerable and prone to irritability and a few possible breakout, kind of like that time of the month for us ladies. Here’s how I get started. First, I cleanse my skin with my special cleansing gel as I referred to on a previous post. Next, I apply my cream exfoliant (which is like a 2 in one mask) on my face and neck. I leave it on for 10-15 minutes. This process is basically improving my skin texture, leaving it nice and smooth, increasing hydration and stimulating cell renewal. Its a very worthy investment and it runs about $42. You can shop it online or the main website or pick it up in your local spa or Ulta Beauty. I promise you’ll love it. 🙂

Thanks For Visiting!

Hi Beauties;

Pretty much on a daily basis I’m always being asked what kind of lipstick I’m wearing; what kind of mascara I’m wearing and what kind of foundation I use.  Lately, I’ve also been asked about what I use to do my eyebrows. So today I’m going to be sharing a few of my favorite go-to-makeup must haves with you along with answering those 3 questions.

When it comes to foundation, I like to have a nice clean, even skin tone and a light finish and something that’s definitely oil-free. That is why I use Clinique Even Better Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF15 as my foundation. For a matte finish I use their stay-matte sheer pressed powder. You can pick them up at your local Ulta Beauty, Macy’s, Nordstrom or shop them here. On days that I have a shoot, I use Bobbi Brown Retouching Powder to get a nice airbrushed finish.

I have several different lipsticks that I wear. Bold matte reds are my signature style. I really love NYX matte lipsticks because not only are they very affordable but you can almost find them anywhere. The other kind of lipsticks I mostly use are Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipsticks (here) and  Dose Of Colors matte lipsticks (here).

L’OrĂ©al Voluminous Miss Manga in extra black is my absolute most favorite affordable mascara. It adds so much definition to my eyes and make my lashes appear longer. You can pick it up at your local drugstore like CVS and you can find it at your local Target. Maybelline is also another drug store brand that I use. I love the Rocket and Lash Sensational. The trick is to use the tip of the brush when applying mascara, especially when getting the bottom lashes. The results are so much better. If you don’t mind spending a little more, I suggest getting Too faced “Better Than Sex” It’s one of my top 3 favorite mascaras ever. You can pick it up at Ulta Beauty or shop it directly here.

Nowadays, eyebrows seems to be the number one talked about thing in the beauty industry. I’ve definitely become more involved in making sure that my eyebrows speak for themselves. I use none other than Anastasia Beverly Hills dip-brow pomade and brow defining brush. She’s the Queen of eye-brows and I wouldn’t recommend any other brow products. You can shop them directly here or you can pick it up at Sephora or Ulta Beauty, my go-to make-up spots.  My contouring method is simple. I use Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Concealer (pick it up at the drug store, Wal-Mart or Target) and Anastasia Beverly Hills Contouring kit(shop it here or you can pick it up at your local Sephora, Macy’s, Nordstrom or Ulta Beauty). Let me know if you guys liked or tried anything I suggested. I’ll share more tips and make-up hauls with you guys soon. Gotta go now. Baby Isabella just woke up from her nap. Enjoy your weekend babies.

Real Coconut Oil Benefits

IMG_9435

Hi Beauties;

Let’s Talk.

So I wanted to share with you all some amazingly incredible benefits of coconut oil.  First thing is first. The most important part of this to me, is that coconut oil has plethora of benefits. It is the real all-purpose deal. I grew up learning about and using coconut oil so it was already instilled in me as a vital product from the start. I watched my mom cook with it (today I do the same thing, it’s very good in jasmine rice, too ) as well as utilize it in my hair and on her skin.

Throughout the many years of using coconut oil, I’ve discovered that it also facilitates with digestion and can reduce the risk of heart disease and other infections and diseases. That’s more than amazing to say the least. I mean think about it. It’s a no-brainer that using coconut oil can possibly save lives. I use it to cook, moisturize my skin, massage my scalp; deep condition my hair and before I forget, it is extremely useful when trying to lose weight. It builds muscle and decreases body fat. Yes, the more you include it in your day-to-day meal, the better it aides in digesting and reducing abdominal obesity. I highly recommend it to anyone and especially to those of you struggling with health issues and weight-loss complications.

When you use it as a deep conditioner, it strengthens your hair and prevent damage as well as keep it nice and shiny. It will definitely grow your hair. Massage into your skin to prevent dryness while leaving it feeling  smooth and balanced. Especially if you hate wrinkles or trying to prevent them, this will serve as an excellent moisturizer and keep you looking younger than ever. No need to go out there and purchase those expensive anti-aging creams.

The cooking benefits are simple: you’ll live longer.  Using coconut oil promotes longevity and immunity against loads of diseases. If you cook with coconut oil, it will maintain all the nutrients even when heated at high temperatures. You can use coconut oil for your coffee and tea. Sounds crazy right? You can add it to make an organic tea creamer and sugar free coffee. I even use it when I juice because it serves as a superfood. Did I mention I love my fried plantains in coconut oil? It’s the best and they taste delicious. If you never tried cooking plantains in coconut oil please do and tell me how they turn out.

Here are some other bonuses that I’ll share with you guys. In addition to the multiple benefits mentioned, I also use coconut oil to remove my make-up. Girls, you must try this. Let me know how it helped if you did. I’d love to hear from you. It’s so good at removing eye makeup and foundation. Furthermore, I use it as a cuticle treatment and replace it with shaving cream to shave my legs.. It leaves them feeling smooth as ever. That’s all for today. Hope you enjoyed. Until next time.. XO

My Skin Essentials

DSC_0021D

Hello Beauties;

I’ve been asked time and time again on my Facebook and instagram social media about what I use on my skin to keep it looking so smooth and glowing. Today, I’m so glad to finally share some of my beauty and skin essentials tips with you all.

So basically I’ve been using Dermalogica for a little over a decade (I know, lol  but really, it’s that good!) and it has always kept my skin looking flawless. Dermalogica is literally my holy grail. I was first introduced to it by one of my best friends, Adoria, and I haven’t stopped using it till this day. It’s one of the best things that ever happened to me. What I really love about their products is that they aren’t tested on animals, and you can see results as immediately following the first use. I remember when I first tried it and i recall telling Adoria: “Omg! I can’t believe how amazing my skin feels right now… it’s so soft.” It felt hydrated and within the first week I threw out all the other stuff I was using and replaced it with all Dermalogica products and I never went back.

The special cleansing gel, multi-active toner and skin smoothing cream are my main go to daily essentials. I love how calming and refreshing the gel is on my skin which is very soothing. The toner is like a great moisturizer prep. It hydrates my skin so good and the skin smoothing cream asborbs so much better once you apply this. Lastly, the skin smoothing cream has great antioxidants, promotes elasticity and leaves my skin feeling smooth and looking flawless. Keep in mind that their are so many different skin types out there, so you might need something different from me. Skin can also change depending on the season. My skin type is “combination” but mostly dry in the winter. Check out all the amazing products they carry on their website to fit your skin needs.

I will talk about more of their products that I use in other upcoming posts; like the gentle cream exfoliant, one of my absolute favs. Remember, take care of your skin from within. Eating healthy, drinking plethora of water, exercising and eating loads of tomatoes makes taking care of your skin on the outside so much easier.
